NAPLES WELCOMES THE LOUIS VUITTON 38TH AMERICA’S CUP
For the first time in its 174-year history, the Louis Vuitton 38th America's Cup will be held in Italy, with Naples serving as the host city for the 2027 edition of this prestigious sailing competition.
The announcement was made official at a ceremony held on May 28, 2025, at the historic Castel dell’Ovo in Naples.

The decision to host the America's Cup in Naples was influenced by the city's previous experience hosting America's Cup World Series events in 2012 and 2013, which drew large crowds and showcased the city's enthusiasm for sailing
Naples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Europe's oldest cities, offers a unique backdrop for the event. The races are set to take place in the Gulf of Naples, beneath the shadow of Mount Vesuvius, between Castel dell’Ovo and the western headland of Posillipo.

Naples is poised to offer an unparalleled experience that blends its rich cultural heritage with the excitement of world-class sailing, further enhancing the legacy of the America's Cup.
