   Dear ‘Penelope Yacht’ Crew, A heartfelt thank you to everyone that made our family trip between September 17th to the 24th on the Amalfi coast very special. In our quiet way we enjoyed ourselves immensely. We will be forever grateful for the exceptional care we received, from the delicious cuisines, the daily upkeep of our rooms, and the readiness to respond to all and any requests. Especially getting on and off of the dinghy. (smile) Additionally, on our first day setting sail, I took special note, when you Captain Abbate, came back to check to see how I was feeling, for we were sailing through choppy waters. As well as watching my eldest son Bryant swim, to insure he was okay, while he swam against the currents. Thank you! Lastly, a big thanks to all the crew, for all the efforts in creating a very festive evening, with balloons, and song, to help my family celebrate two significant summer birthdays.
   Here’s wishing you all some well needed rest, many more journeys, and most of all good health.

   La barca è ottima, qualche giorno di maltempo ci ha creato qualche piccolo problema tecnico ma sono stati tutti risolti brillantemente. L’equipaggio è davvero il top per professionalità e per il modo in cui lavora, sono di certo tutti e quattro ben sopra la media. Il comandante ha un grande carattere ed è eccezionale nel problem solving. Durante il soggiorno ho invitato parecchi amici a bordo e sono rimasti tutti davvero entusiasti, compreso uno di loro che ha molta esperienza nel settore sia come noleggiatore che come armatore.
   Devo un grande grazie anche a lei. L’anno venturo sarò certamente suo cliente!

   Penelope è davvero una barca da sogno, le coccole dell’equipaggio sono impareggiabili ed i panorami, i colori, indescrivibili. Non dimenticherò questi momenti trascorsi con le persone che amo…

   We thought the entire trip was awesome. It’s very difficult to pick a favorite moment as all the experiences had different highlights and each island had its own personality. The Captain did a great job of working around the schedule to make sure were comfortable and enjoyed all the different areas! Thank you!

   The charter on Penelope was wonderful. Vessel, captain and crew all superb. The crew is wonderful, attentive and the food is spectacular. Daniel is a superb cook. Penelope is a very comfortable vessel and the captain is terrific.

   Dear All,
   The boat was fantastic! She had plenty of room, interior was just redone in 2018 and looks modern and brand new. It was a very quiet boat, we could not hear any engine or generator noise when at sea or docked. Air conditioning was great, our room was always cold which we loved!
   The Captain speaks a good English and was helpful at every port to help us get on our way safely. Thought he was great. Gregorio is young but sharp, always smiling and helpful. My 20 yr. old daughter thought he was good looking and flirted with him constantly but he was very professional!
   Chief Stewardess Giusi was fantastic, she speaks a great English, on the spot always, friendly and my whole family loved her!!
   Chef Daniele was awesome, pretty hard to make Gluten Free meals but they were great!!
   Thanks to you both for another wonderful charter.

   We loved the trip!!! We could not have asked for more. Everything was perfect.
   On day one we left in the afternoon for Vulcano island and arrived late afternoon which was very nice. The port is quite simple but quaint. There is a mud bath as part of the thermal treatment from the volcano. The day after we headed to Volcano island and went on an early morning climb to the crater. It only took 45 mins each way but for anyone who has never seen a smoking crater it was impressive!! After that we rented quads and toured the island. In the afternoon we decided not to follow the original itinerary to Panarea as the captain predicted that there would be strong winds mid week in Panarea. I was impressed that the captain was always studying the weather so that we experienced as little bad weather or strong winds as possible. The towns of Panarea and Salina were the nicest island towns. Panarea had great stores, restaurants and bars. We had a beautiful excursion on the Santa Lucia to some small islands between Panarea and Stromboli. Beautiful swimming, calm waters and very interesting sulfur bubbles under the water.
   On Wed afternoon as the winds started to pick up in Panarea we went to Lipari. The captain opened the sails which was a nice experience!
   Lipari is a very nice large town with a very nice old historic district that has a cathedral and museum. It was fun to tour the different parts of the islands and we also took the tender of the Santa Lucia to swim in a nice area across the Unesco protected Porticello stone mine.
   On Friday morning we left for Salina, another beautiful small town and island. Very nice island, we had an excellent lunch and toured the island in rented cars.. In a nearby town (near the lighthouse) ‘Alfredo’s’ has the best graniti in Sicily.
   On the way back to the port of Milazzo in Sicily we stopped at Vulcano island for another night which was very nice.
   As for the crew, captain Maurizio is an extremely experienced and confident Captain. He knows the boat very well. He plans carefully to avoid bad weather but consults frequently to make sure we are comfortable with his decisions. He is an excellent chef and buys fresh ingredients every day. He knows the islands very well and gave me excellent advice when we arrived at each island. He also knew the best restaurants and called them in advance to reserve. Luca, the son of Captain Maurizio, is a great deputy to his father and Elisa and Sam were extremely nice and always looking for the best way to provide anything that we needed. The service was always exceptional.
   THANK YOU! I’m already thinking of Amalfi and Sardinia for next year!

   Trip has gone really well, staff is great and the boat is awesome. Weather today it’s been perfect and the forecast over in the Capri area looks to be sunny and calm. As for the crew, they have been above and beyond what we expected.

    The Pernstern family has had an amazing week on the Santa Lucia! Maurizio is a wonderful Captain and Chef and we will miss Luca, Samantha and Lisa; they did a wonderful job taking care of us! Can’t believe the week is end so soon! Thank you for showing us your part of the world. I can’t wait to come back!

    The yacht was “phenomenal”. It could not have been better. The crew, food, accommodations, everything. The captain and crew were very attentive and the staff was excellent about watching over the children. The chef was so accommodating and I truly appreciated that our nut allergy was taken so seriously: prior to our arrival the whole crew was informed about it and the entire galley had been deeply cleaned so no nut residue would be there. Everyone did a tremendous, tremendous, tremendous job! I would recommend the boat and crew to anybody without hesitation. Please feel free to contact me if you need a recommendation at any time.
